bonsoir j'ai également monter un android et j'en suis super content juste deux trois probleme genre l'autoradio d'origine ne capte presque plus rien.
juste une pitite question peut on passer de la version 4.4 a la version 7.1 si oui comment faire?

You must connect the 3.5mm audio cable from the "AUX-OUT" on the MAIN harness to the AUX input under your armrest. (Do NOT make the mistake of plugging this 3.5mm cable into the MIC-IN)

Check the IDRIVE AUX volume is set to MAX.

Step 2: DO NOT FORGET TO PLUG THE GREEN FIBER OPTIC CABLE BACK INTO THE FACTORY RADIO.


Step 3: If your CCC IDRIVE control is not working you have to change the IDRIVE setting here.

Step 4: Set the clock setting to "ORIGINAL TIME". Doing this will save the TIME setting when you restart your car.


Step 5. Make sure you have the CAR TYPE setting correct for your BMW model. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! The correct setting for your model is on white label that your monitor came in.

DO NOT CLICK "Update Config". That is not how you change the CAR TYPE setting.

Follow these step:

Click on the option that matches your car model. A popup will appear then click the CHECK mark to save the settings.
Reboot your unit for the settings to take effect.

Troubleshooting Tip:

Symptoms: prolonged BMW screen at startup, then "NO SIGNAL" when switching to "original car," no audio, iDrive controller only partially worked in the AVIN menus, and green SOS light in headliner occasionally blinked.

Try rebooting the iDrive system

Push both eject buttons (DVD and CD) and the volume knob (a.k.a the mute button) at the same time. Wait about 30 seconds for the factory system to complete its reboot.

You can update the CarPlay app from within the app settings. It will download the latest app version automatically when you are connected to the internet.

Download Android Auto app. If you are using an Android phone you will need to download the Android Auto app. This is to be installed on your Android phone, not on the car monitor. Android_Auto_2.7.573953.apk

2. Install Android app (APK) files from SD card or USB Flash drive.

To install an Android app (APK) on the head unit copy your APK file to your sd card or USB Flash drive. Insert the sd card into either slot of the head unit or plug your USB Flash drive into any of the USB ports then open the app named "ES File Explorer". Use the file manager app to locate your APK file on your sd card or USB Flash drive. Select the APK file you would like to install and that will start the install process.

3. Plug in the CarPlay / Android Auto USB adapter into your Android head unit/monitor's USB port

4.. Plug in your own original Apple Lightning USB cable into the CarPlay adapter

5. Plug the USB Lightning cable into your iPhone 5, 6, 7, or 8

6. Enjoy CarPlay / Android Auto

How to connect the backup camera to BMW with Automatic transmission.

Note: DO NOT CONNECT ANYTHING to your cars reverse lights!

1. Connect long video cable's RED wire to the wire labeled "+12V_Camera" from the MAIN harness cable plugged into the back of the monitor.

2. The other end of that long video cable's RED wire attaches to the backup camera's RED wire. This will power on the camera when you are in reverse.


3. The BLACK wire is GROUND.

How to connect to the WIFI OBD2 adapter

First, download and install the Torque app on the unit.

1. Make sure the WIFI OBD2 adapter is plugged into the OBD2 port securely.
2. Go to the WIFI settings in the system settings menu
3. Click scan for OBD2 and wait for the scan to complete.
4. Click on the name "WIFI_OBD2" adapter that is in the found list to connect.
5. If you have issues connecting to the found OBD2 try restarting the unit and after boot is completed repeat steps 2 to 4.
5. Once it shows "connected" then go to open the Torque app.
6. Make sure your engine is on and running for Torque to read the car's ECU
7. Go to settings within in the Torque App and change the mode from Bluetooth to WIFI.
8. Enjoy using Torque.

Offline Navigation apps

To use offline GPS navigation you would need to install the offline navigation app.
Once the app is installed you will need to be connected to a strong wifi connection to download the required map data to your unit. Only download the states that you actually plan to drive in. This will save time downloading and space. Once you have completed downloading the map data to your unit you will be able to use offline GPS navigation without an internet connection.
